Northern Education Trust is delighted to report that one of its primary schools in Stockton on Tees – Frederick Nattrass Academy – is the top performing primary school in the area.
The academy had unprecedented success in the following measures:
The academy also had an impressive 91% of children achieving the expected standard in reading, well above the national average of 73%. These phenomenal results also place Frederick Nattrass Academy in the top 25% of schools nationally for progress in reading, writing and maths.
The Education Improvement Service of Stockton Borough Council offered its congratulations to the academy, praising the staff and governors “for the tremendous outcomes you have achieved for your children as demonstrated by the last set of end of key stage results. As you know, the Local Authority continues to monitor school performance and I wanted to acknowledge your success as a school in securing such excellent pupil achievement. This is a tremendous achievement for your pupils.”
Emma Roffe, Principal, said: “We are extremely proud of our aspirational, dedicated children for achieving their goals. The entire team at Frederick Nattrass is committed to providing the highest quality teaching for every single child in the academy and removing any possible barrier to learning.”
Jane Wilson, Deputy Chief Executive, added her congratulations, saying: “The Trust supports all academies to achieve excellent outcomes for the children in our care, and the external validation for the excellent work that has gone on at the academy is very welcome and deserved. The amazing results are even more commendable given that almost 60% of the children are Pupil Premium students, which is twice the national average”.
